Last Friday,thanks to Vian's invitation i attended the Eight Lido Year End Private Party.When you compare the atmosphere of Kuala Lumpur & Johor Bahru ,you would recognize Johor Bahru has a more laid back lifestyle compared to the exotic and happening lifestyle of Kuala Lumpur.But l’d say if your on a short gateway down here in Johor Bahru and would like to simply relax,dine and unwind Eight Lido is your place.As Eight Lido’s tag line goes,Dine.Wind.Unwind it represents the finest place for a unique dining and entertainment experience.

Don't you agree first timers are always the best? whether it's meeting a person for the first time or simply a new experience..Here's a blog post rewinding back to early this year where i meet a couple of bloggers for the very first time and the joy of it we clicked instantly!!

Early this year Bonjour Glow as she is known in blogosphere, organized a small gathering at Pavillion as it was her "first time" coming down to KL.The main purpose of gathering was to catch up with bloggers whom she as gotten to know through blogs, and according to her it was a different experience as she has never meet any bloggers or formally attended an event in KL. We all meet up casually at Carls Jr over lunch and let the photos do the talking..

It was an interesting catch up over lunch i must say.We shared our own stories from blogging,like what made us start out blogging in the first place to blogging tips and the most interesting part blogger gossips.Everyone would agree as much as the world of blogosphere has to share,there are certainly loads of juicy stories to share and digest..*evil grin*.Shah had to leave earlier on as he had to head back to work,while the rest of us went walking all around Pavillion.

Now comes a rather interesting part,we were busily snapping photos when a sudden topic of whats your age emerged.Now never ask a girl whats your age or she might just kill you..haha just kidding..So we shared our age and birth dates and so happened the very next day happens to be my birthday..Glow suggested we get a few cupcakes to have a pre celebration..how thoughtful!! But before that let me introduce to you the wonderful peeps!!

She's someone i got to know through the Innit Chatbox and trust me she's one polite and wonderful individual..don't be fool by her smile,she can be talkative and often i get bullied by..right rockerina?or is it the other way? :D

Tikoss Chew

Where should i start at? Tikkoss quite often metions he's gay virtually yet straight in person.He's someone you can turn to when your having a bad day..cos quite simply he cracks the lamest of jokes.He currently resides in China and his current location is unknown

She is pretty much a very shy person and very soft spoken as well.For those of you who don't know she's also the admin of Inniters Gathering.

First thing first, it’s been a wonderful fun filled journey with Nuffnang Malaysia since i first joined in June 2008.Yes!! it’s been 3 years 5 months to this date and that spark of joy has never faded.Nuffnang is not all about events but a whole lot more in terms of bringing the blogger community together.I still remember my first Nuffnang event back in 2009,it was the Punisher War Zone Premier Screening at Cathay Cineplex Damansara.There was a huge crowd gathering outside the theatre and i was one of the first in queue.Now the awkward part was Nuffie Robb Chew had a movie poster to giveaway,hence the fastest person to put their hands up would get it, and so happened Kyspeaks and myself raised our hands up at the same time and it was awkward Robb had to choose between the both us and i got the poster in the end.Now that is strange because i thought i offended a popular blogger..but he smiled and i survived.haha..Read my post Click Here and also do read all my Nuffnang Screening post here with my awesome bloggers Click Here

Arguably one of the highlights in 2009 was the Nuffnang Music Bash which was co hosted by Maxis as well.It was the first big event of the year and many bloggers whom i have been chatting on the innit chatbox finally meet up at the event. I’m a Musicon Celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband

The journey never stopped there and as more and more movie screening and events Nuffnang organized,i made it a point to attend every one i could and through that journey i’m blessed to say that i meet loads of wonderful blogger friends and they were huge and fun bunch and the best part of it i got to know more and more Nuffies from the Nuffnang family,who never failed to talk to you and share a tip or two on how the blogging industry works.From that i learned heaps to better myself and i must say my writing improved a whole lot.Jestina was the first nuffie i got to know:

In December 2009 i received my first big Advertorial fromNuffnang and i was honoured as only 15 bloggers were chosen to write for Carlsberg Malaysia.It was a hefty amount i received =p.We had to write about their upcoming Facebook app called the Carlsberg Christmas Tree. Soon more and more oppurtunities came my way and i received more advertorials and exclusive money can’t buy invitation to best parties around KL.I still remember Boss Tim and Jestina kept on mentioning how pro Nuffnang i was but the best part of being a Nuffnanger is...we are all one happy big family .So The year went on from good to even better!!

Year 2010 was arguably the highlight for me!! I received a call from the Nuffnang Office earlier that year inviting me to come over for a short discussion.They claimed it was something important and further details would be discussed on that very weekend..I was nervous as hell..So on a Saturday i headed to the office not knowing what to expect and i was greated by many friendly faces and yeah there were a few bloggers i knew as well.So Robb explained this private meeting was merely the purpose to to join Nuffnang’s Glitteratti Plus Club.Gliteratti Plus is a club for active event going bloggers and loyal ones as well and we were promised more exclusive invites.So they elected the commitee called the Council Of 5 to run the club and i was honoured the Treasurer Role after being voted by my fellow bloggers.It was one of the best moments in life and being the youngest Council member made it all sweeter..

Whewww..i’ve written alot...but before i conclude this post..here’s a flashback some of the best moments!

Singing is a way of expressing yourself through music and here is Alvin Anthons who happens to be a talented Singer making it big with the recent release of his first single 'Berdua'

Now, with the release of his single, Alvin is set to stamp his mark further in the entertainment and music industry.

TV host, emcee, deejay, voice-over talent, event manager... Alvin Anthons can now add singer to his list of accomplishments with the release of his single, Berdua. Berdua is the first single to be released under Alvin’s self-titled debut album, due out later this year.

Alvin's first single 'Berdua' is a self written piece and it is the first single to be released under Alvin's self-titled album.Berdua is a A mid-tempo love song in the pop rock genre, Berdua talks about learning from past mistakes, moving on, and being a better person in a new relationship.

Sharing with us a chapter of life through his single..expressing mistakes are made before but take it as good lesson to not make the same mistake in the future.The Song Berdua has a strong character to it and by hearing it just once you would definitely love the lyrics.The melodies and synchronization of the music just get you thinking as well.If your a fan of love songs or simply someone whom had it hard in a relationship before this single will definitely soothe your feelings more..

So i received a phone call from Nuffnang somewhere at the end of June for an upcoming Wrangler Concept Store Media Preview at Sunway Pyramid...Thinking it was just another opening of a new store i was most delighted when Anne mention that myself & 9 other bloggers together with models were going to be modelling their latest collection..Now that got me all the more excited..

prior to the event on Thursday,all 10 bloggers and models had to report to the Wrangler Store 2 days before on a Tuesday to get our fitting and outfit picked by stylist Steven.

The Runway

The Runway was set as early as 8am on the day in the morning when all bloggers and models arrived for our full rehearsal..had this butterfly feeling in the tummy early in the morning as i am used to covering fashions shows but this time around being the one to walk down that runway represented yet another immense and wonderful experience...

A special thanks to our Choreographer whom added a lil spice to the show by interacting us on stage with the dancers that day..Not forgetting Cat-walk Guru Bella Rahim for her tips as well..
Rehearsal turned out oh so fun and soon everyone headed for lunch before arriving back to get our hair and make up done...

On a personal note it was one awesome experience being back stage with the Bloggers and Models and it just shows effort,time and practice makes something look so easy when it was definitely a challenge..especially having those camera flash,flashing before your very eyes..

I would like to thank Wrangler Malaysia and Congratulate them on the opening of their New Concept Store and guess what people the store at Sunway Pyramid was their very first one in Malaysia and their 2nd store at Midvalley Megamall is slowly taking shape..Can't Wait!! i'm off to Wrangler to fill up my wardrobe...
