Coffee Talk : Build Your Coffee Story!

How about a Hot Cup of Coffee? An Extra Shot or Just The Usual?

For some of us, there's nothing like a good cup of Coffee in the Morning to kick start our day.At the present time, with the sudden influx of Coffee Places opening just about everywhere, your definitely spoiled for choice when it comes to Coffee & Cakes.

So what separates one outlet from another and "what is their brand story"

I've always found the purpose of a Coffee place intriguing from their Concept to their Architecture and definitely their choices of Coffee Beans used too. So Whats Your Brand Story?

Think of Brand as a story you are telling about your unique elements, your unique purpose, and your unique products and services. Think of this as less fact based and more anecdotal or story like. So as an Advertising Student & Coffee lover myself, I decided to observe a few patterns that pull customers to these wonderful coffee places. One thing is for sure, its not just the Coffee but the Service & Ambiance that is a pulling factor too.

Some start-up café owners look for a location first. And some café owners create their unique brand based on a passion for a product and service. Ideally, this will create your brand first – as that passion will give your café longevity and that constant locational differences and customer preferences do exist. The Up North residence may have different preferences from the East and the Southern Region. It is a mistake to design a café to your own preferences and tastes and not consider the majority of the consumers in your regional area

I would think the main sustainability that separates one coffee place from their competitors would be the community relationships, and overall “purpose” of a café from another. This can be seen in big Coffee places like Artisan Roast & Coffee Stain by Joseph who have a huge customers based. The reason being evident in the products they carry, their customer service and operations, and overall dining experience.

There's always a story behind every place and what separates one outlet from another is their sheer ambition to create something new and engaging. So when i see a small outlet with huge number of people patronizing, I'm quite sure and confidentally say, this coffee place has something unique about them that other coffee places don't.

"If you're not trying to do something better, then you're not focused on the customer and you'll miss the possibility of making your business great. "

Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tao Foo @ e-Curve

When it comes to food, there are heaps of restaurants to chose from to satisfy your cravings. With the variety of cuisines and the many popular spots these days, it so hard to handpicked which is your next dining place. But if you are someone who loves eating at a steamboat restaurant, this post will do you a whole lot of goodness.

As the tittle goes Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tao Foo is the latest steamboat restaurant to open in the Klang Valley. Nestled right at the heart of Mutiara Damansara at E-Curve, this restaurant promises a wonderful dining experience with a wide array of dishes & desserts that would certainly tickle your taste buds. Thanks to the lovely people at Living Social, I had the opportunity to dine at this outlet together with blogger friends and together with my two lovely partners in crime Sandra & Jq

With ample seating areas and a cozy environment complimented by the color of Red & Black of the interior architecture, you can be assured you could dine in comfort.

The outlet is spacious and is ventilated really well, so you wouldn't have to worry about going home with your hair smelling of smoke too

Assorted choices of fishball, crabstick, beef ball, fish noodle, chicken, beef, squid, prawns,
sausages, quail eggs and the list goes on!! But the highlight for me was definitely the Smoke
Duck meat.

Sandra & Me decided to play Chef for a day and here's is our steamboat pot with
assorted veggies, fisballs and smoke duck right in the middle.

The marinated chicken along with sausages tasted really good and it was well marinated as well.

Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tao Foo is a Halal restaurant that provides quality raw dishes
at an affordable price. At the current time a charge of RM26 per head is the applicable fee for a
dine session here. Totally worth it with its wide range of dishes & especially being located in
a hugely popular shopping area.

Nasi Lemak & Other local dishes are also available in this hot pot as shown above

After all that snapping and eating, we still took time off to pose for photos :D

Group shot with the Bloggers, The lovely people from LivingSocial all thanks our photographer Jq

After all that eating, it was time for dessert & Oh My the wide variety of desserts certainly didn't disappoint!

Ice- Cream Potong Anyone?

Chocolate Fondue!! Yummay =p

Despite the huge patronage at the outlet, the place still remained clean! A for Cleanliness

Oh The Chocolate Waffle was wonderful too!

It was so good, we even had a ummm a small fight between Sandra & Jq. The Girls certainly enjoyed their Chocolate Waffle.

All in All, I certainly enjoyed dinning at Pak John Steamboat & Yong Tao Foo and would definitely patron this outlet in the near future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pak John together with Living Social for a goodnight of a yummylicious affair. So Go Ahead & Do Drop By!
