I'm sure people around me are already buzzing on the Standard Chartered ICT Competition 2013. The Competition returns this year with a bang and promises a whole lot more of surprises.Are you ready to hear what awaits you? Before that, here's a brief introduction on the competition,to those whom are hearing of it for the first time.

The Standard Chartered ICT (Innovation, Communication, Technology) Competition invites University,College, Polytechnics & Employees of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, its subsidiaries Scope International to submit their ICT related innovative ideas in the form of a business proposal.Every creative and innovative idea is always a core element for something new and creates a huge impact to not only us but the whole community!!

The main goal of the competition is to boost creativity in innovation and further enhance knowledge on ICT as well as to promote entrepreneurship amongst university students in Malaysia. Entrepreneurs aren't built overnight but through a cycle of experiences and extensive knowledge of ideas and capabilities.

Competition Period & Criteria


The registration and submisions begun on 13th January 2013 & the closing date would be 25th March 2013. Pre requisite for a team is a minimum of one (1) Malaysian & team members should be University,College,Polytechnics students in Malaysia.There are 2 categories enlisted for this competition:

- University/ College Students (in teams 2-5 persons)
- Employees of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, its subsidiaries and Scope International (in teams 2
  5 person).

As part of Standard Chartered's Aim of encouraging young entrepreneurship among youths,There would be several roadshows conducted at a few University's,Colleges and Polytechnics.The first one was conducted at UTAR @Setapak KL.

The key speaker was Mr. Leon Koay.Leon Koay, Managing Director, Head of Global Markets
Co-Head of Wholesale Banking,Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad

Mr. Leon Koay is Country Head of Global Markets, which encompasses Standard Chartered Malaysia’s product suite of Financial Markets, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance & Principal Finance solutions.  He is also Co-Head, Wholesale Bank Malaysia, and retains joint responsibility for strategy, development, management and governance of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia’s wholesale banking business.

Week 2 - 21st January 2013 - 27th January 2013



 The weekly contest is open to the members of the public of all Ages! As long as you are a Malaysian Your Good To Go! This is the first weekly contest that runs from 21st January - 27th January 2013

So what you have to do? Well it's simple!

2. Submit a picture of your respective pets using your favorite gadgets
3. At the voting widget, you can share it out to your Personal or Page to get People to vote.

The highest number of votes at the end of the week wins!! as simple as that!!
The weekly contest is open to public of any age, so long as you are in Malaysia!



GENERAL RULES: 
  1. We DON'T accept submission by posting on our wall!
  2. You can only use the app (http://bit.ly/SCICTContest) to submit your design.
  3. Each person can submit unlimited entries per contest but may only win one prize.  
  4. Only ONE (1) vote can be performed per day until the contest has expired.
  5. Contest close at 1800hrs on 27 Jan 2013. 
  6. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them. 
  7. Winners will be selected based on how many people voted for the entry and then ranked by the Contest Owner. 3 lucky persons will each win a Touch N' Go card preloaded with RM50 for each week!
  8. Winner's work will be showcased on our Facebook Page too!
  9. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

The 2nd weekly contest is also opened to everyone as long as your in Malaysia.The contest period runs from

28th January 2013 - 3rd February 2013.

Compared to the contest from the first week, you have to work a lil of your imagination in the "Guess The Object Of The Image" All you have to do is:
Make your best guess on the comment box of the Images. If there is no correct answer, they will zoom out within the next day to help you make a better guess, so do keep coming back! By the end of two day they will select the nearest guess should there not be correct guess. You will have up to three objects to guess, so do give it all a try, though winners may only win once.

  2. 1 lucky person who made the best guess on the Image will win a Touch N' Go card preloaded with RM50.
