Twenty Four Crown Jewels

"We often see our worst selves. Our most vulnerable selves. We need someone else to get close enough to tell us we’re wrong. Someone we trust. Someone I call a best friend”

Most of us are often familiar with the phrase "people come and people go in life". As months
and years paints a chapter and changes an individual, some friends will stick by you through thick and thin while others will abandon ship and leave you behind.

This blog post is written and dedicated to two very special person to me who recently turned 24 this June!

One of the more recent photos at my Diploma Convocation with the two of them.

I've known both JQ & Li Chuen around the same time in 2011 through blogging and the joy of it,we instantly clicked when we first met. It's one of that rare occasions when you talk to someone, and you know your going to have a good conversation without the need to up your game to impress them. So just be yourself.

A Lil Throwback with  Jq & Li Chuen

I remember it like it was just yesterday when a group of Nuffnang's then Inniter's Chat group met up for the very first time in Pavilion.

with Tikkoss, Sim Yee, Gloria & Li Chuen

It was also the first time i met Li Chuen & the group even surprised me with a birthday cake that made it such a wonderful day. It just shows how total strangers can connect be the best of friends.

Covered our first event together as bloggers for the Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge 2011.
How I wish I still look as skinny as before :p

Chuen's often quiet and shy but oh boy when this woman warms up, i get bullied at times too :p
Perhaps one of the most soft hearted and most patient person I have ever met. Speaking of patience, the constant teasing she gets from me, I'm surprised she never exploded even once or have you?

They even made us put on Playboy Rabbit Ears for the night at The Rabbit Hole's Launch Party :p

I'd like to thank you for being the awesome person you are. I truly enjoyed your wonderful company at events and for also the trust and understanding you always bring to our conversations. Arguably one of my biggest supporters and taking time out from work to attend my convocation was so much more than I can ask for. You are truly a priceless gift. So cheers to many more awesome years ahead. =)

She's small in size but has a big personality. Her name starts with J and ends with Q. JQ is her name.
I remember so clearly like it was just yesterday when I was covering the Launch of Wrangler's Concept Jeans Store. Prior to the event day, the brand engaged a few bloggers under Nuffnang at that time to be blogger/model for the launch. On the day of the fitting i remember bumping into Jq who was then(still is) a small size girl with a nerdy glasses on. She looked pretty quiet so i thought, but little did i know on the rehearsal day, the quietness was just a unjustified first impression.

We we once really young! don't cha agree?

Besides being a chatty person with loads of humor from her conversation, Quin as i call her, has always been very supportive of what I do and at the same time encourages and listens without even judging. Total randomness is her middle name as you can see from the photo below

From looking young above to dressing up a bit more maturely

Quin's a very young ambitious person and should be a role mode for every young blogger learning their trade. Its how you carry yourself online and in person that determines whether your loved by others or the opposite. Strong principal she has and I'm sure i'll be seeing her occupying a top board of directors position someday in the future. Miss Independent!!

One thing is for sure she's never camera shy and she's a poser nonetheless

For some of us who are reading, you might be wondering why the long post and not just a small dedication on Facebook and etc. Well for me i'm a strong believer there is a season in every reason and to look back at this blog post in 10 years time would remind me how fortunate I am to have this two awesome girls around me.

“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
Marcel Proust

Here's wishing you two a Happy 24th Birthday with wishes of lots of Love, Joy & Happiness.
When in doubt always turn to a ear and you have me to hear you out.

God Bless =)
